ISASA and SABISA have published important documents relating to taxation and reduced school fees payable by teachers.

The first document deals with taxation of school fees and South African Revenue Services (SARS) audits. The purpose of this document is to provide guidelines in respect of the SARS audit process, the appropriate steps to take in dealing with SARS auditors and making schools aware of their rights as taxpayers.

The second document provides information on reduced school fees payable by teachers and the treatment of reciprocity arrangements in terms of the Income Tax Act.
