SABISA is pleased to present a financial sustainability initiative tailored to the needs of South African independent schools.

The initiative has been developed in partnership with the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) in the United States and is based on their Financing Sustainable Schools book.

The book outlines a six-step process for school leaders to consider as a model for shaping their thinking on a school's internal and external trends, financial drivers and assumptions underlying their financial models.

An ISASA task team has assessed the book and accompanying workshop and is currently contextualising it for the local independent school sector.

This workshop is not a "silver bullet" or quick-fix solution, but rather an attempt to look at financial sustainability from an holistic and strategic perspective.
