SABISA Conference 2008

Conference 2008The SABISA Conference 2008 takes place from 24-27 September at the Boardwalk Conference Centre in Port Elizabeth. The theme of this year's conference is Towards Understanding.

We have not scheduled any part of the conference on the afternoon of Wednesday the 24th and we will start with the evening cocktail party at around 6 or 6.30pm. Two fun filled days are planned for Thursday and Friday culminating in the Gala Dinner on Friday evening. There will not be a formal breakfast on Saturday so you may arrange to leave as early as you wish on Saturday morning!

National Credit Act and Independent Schools

ImageThe ISASA ISASA Weekly Bulletin 18 January ISASA Weekly Bulletin 18 January contains a memorandum on the new National Credit Act and how it will affect ISASA member schools.

The memorandum considers the nature of a credit agreement, the differences between discount transactions and incidental credit agreements, recommended fee and payment structures for independent schools and a proposed clause for inclusion in parent contracts.

The Weekly Bulletin also contains updates on ISASA conferences for 2008, the Independent Quality Assurance Agency (IQAA) and ISASA branding.
